Study Week

Our Secret Duck Pond (Studying Hideout)

The last couple weeks were rather uneventful as I had two large finals to prepare for but I still managed to fit in a little bit of fun. On Wednesday March 26 we had another one of our Wednesday dinners. This week Jessica couldn’t make it because she was in Sweden. We still had Laura, Jiri, and Andrea. Laura’s friend Rebecca from home was visiting and joined as well. We made pasta with creamy mango sauce and a pear and parmesan salad. After living in the library Thursday, Friday, and Saturday Laura convinced me to join her and a few others for a Finnish/Dutch folk concert. The concert was a much-needed break and very good music!

On the evening of Tuesday April 1st I wrote my first final. Needless to say I was a little scared for a 100% final. I came home to Laura and Burak hosting an accordion concert at Verbs 48. In the end over 25 people came by to listen to them play. Apparently when there is no Tuesday party for people to attend they are just as happy to spend the night listening to accordions.

This past Wednesday was another of our Wednesday dinners although I was so nervous for my exam the next morning at 8:30 that I only stopped by for an hour before going back to studying with Éadaoin.

After my exam I joined Laura and her friends on a trip to Amsterdam for Thursday and Friday. On Saturday we took a day trip to Antwerp Belgium, and on sunday we walked around Tilburg and found the port that no one here has even heard of. Sunday night we ordered pizzas and played card games with Laura, Jakob, Konrad, Lisa, Mikko and Emanuel.
