Last Friday was Gala, the last event of I’esn Tilburg. The week prior
Ellaisha, Laura and I spent a couple hours searching for dresses. At the
beginning of our shopping trip we told ourselves that H&M would be the last
resort, since most people shop there and we have the brand in our home
countries. But after failing to find any sort of suitable dress in almost every
other store on the shopping street in Tilburg we ended up in H&M with 15
minutes to spare before the store closed up for the night. Thankfully I found
not one but three dresses I liked in the store, and ended up buying two.
On the night of Gala I ate dinner with not one but six German girls.
Laura had her largest group of friends yet visit that weekend. They were all
very nice girls, although at times it proved hard to follow a conversation
spoken mainly in German.
After taking some photos we headed over to the pre-party in verbs. We
arrived at gala a couple hours later. The event was held at a larger club across
the street from our usual party location, Carpe Diem. I spent the night dancing
(in my most awkward fashion, most likely making me blend right in with the many
drunks). I moved from the Germans, to the Turkish, the Argentinians, and then
danced with some of my other friends. For the first time since I arrived, I
stayed at the party until the very end when they had to turn off the music to
tell us to leave. (Around 4am)
