Today was our third and last day in Budapest. We were so
exhausted from the day before that we were hoping to sleep in. Sadly for me,
Mishaela woke up early and squeaked her way across the floor. We met Rena
around 11:30 and she surprised us by bringing us to a cat café. We spent over
an hour cuddling cats. I fell in love with a four month old kitten…too bad Hungary
is too far from home to adopt her! I now have a solid life plan…open my own cat
café.
After the café we were going to go to “the top” as Ellaisha
called it. This is just a lookout spot on top of a mountain where you can see
the whole city. On our way I started to feel very sick. We stopped at a café for
a while but I realized I had to go home and rest. Mishaela and I returned to
the apartment for a couple hours and watched some TV. Mishaela went out and
bought some groceries to make us a late lunch.
Just after six when I was feeling a bit better we went to
meet Rena again. We took the subway and a bus to get to the lookout spot. After
spending a while taking in the view we headed back down to the city. We took
our third Ferris wheel ride of the week (for another birds eye view of the
city). Afterwards we went and got some pad Thai for dinner and ate it in Rena’s
kitchen. We met a few of her friends who were over for a birthday party before
heading home early. I have a very early flight tomorrow morning to catch.
